A stunningly furnished room with period furniture and the most comfortable bed imaginable. Breakfast blew me away, especially the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon-great.
Limited access to shower amenities, as only baths were provided. Some minor maintenance issues could use attention, like the slightly creaky floorboards. A bit more soundproofing between rooms would enhance the tranquility experience.

The location was lovely and absolutely perfect, close to Strangford ferry, the coastline and Downpatrick and easily accessible. It also was in the area at a country house which was self-sustaining.

The setting is stunning and amazing, close to Strangford Lough, Northern Ireland, and a local restaurant, lovely area. Besides, Ballynoe Stone Circle is 10 minutes' drive away. Their rooms are always spotless and huge with very comfy beds, tea, for example❤

Beautiful country settings, charming interaction with pets, engaging conversations with hosts
Absence of shower facilities in rooms!!! Maintenance issues throughout the hotel need addressing!!! Limited parking spaces for larger vehicles could use improvement!!!

Had a right lovely stay! The brekkie was a proper spread, with fresh breads and a full fry-up. And the comfy room? Just like your mum's living room – real homely. Only wish we stayed longer, mate!

Really good hospitality in a charming setting
The breakfasts were an absolute highlight, with a fantastic selection of homemade breads, jams, and a delicious cooked meal tailored to our liking each morning. We appreciated the comfortable room, complete with a huge bed, and the warmth of the hosts. One small note for improvement would be better access to shower amenities, as only baths were available.

The warmth of the hosts, James and Nicola, made us feel like cherished members of their family.
While the beds were comfortable, we experienced a slight creak in the floorboards that detracted from the otherwise tranquil atmosphere.

Couple retreat with charm
We was like honored guests at this place-James and Nicola treated us like family! The breakfast was nothing short of amazing,, with home stewed fruit and vanilla sauce that I still think about.
It wasn't exactly a bargain,, but you get what you pay for.

Had a blast with the group at this cozy spot! Super friendly hosts. We enjoyed exploring local attractions, especially the fine Royal County Down Golf Club and the beautiful Seaforde walled garden. Breakfast was spot on too, with fresh ingredients and homemade jams. Can't wait to come back for more laughs and good times.
We had an occasional noise issue from creaky floorboards that interrupted the otherwise peaceful vibe. Something to keep in mind for those looking for complete tranquility.

We recently stayed at Ballymote House for a few nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The Georgian country house was charming and the owners were incredibly hospitable. Our room was large, comfortable, and well-equipped with thoughtful extras like a torch, great tea and coffee, and adaptors. The bed was spacious and cozy, ensuring a great night's sleep. The breakfast was exceptional, with a fantastic selection and high-quality ingredients. James, one of the owners, also provided excellent recommendations for local dining options. we loved the unique character of the house and the warm hospitality we received.
